Level 35 Mak :) |
With Mordor fast approaching (as in the expansion releases in less than 24 hours), I decided to look back on some adventures that have led me to the place I am today in LOTRO. I remember what some players used to say... "Mordor or bust". Well, we got to Mordor, and nothing is busted yet.
I have been running end-game content for over nine months now, tanking t2 content as much as I can, but I certainly didn't start that way. So, let us take a stroll down memory lane as I show you some old, previously buried screenshots and tell you the tale of what was taking place in said screenshots. I'm sure this is definitely more for my enjoyment than others, but I think others can relate to the nostalgia I feel.
This was the terrifying adventure of going to Annuminas for the first time at the glorious level of 20. I highly recommend not trying this because everything ran at me as fast as it could, but I had my trusty hunter friend Lissamay with me (who still plays today)!
The original name of this screenshot is "the first time with 1k health". Oh, if only baby Makaia could see herself now, with 53k+ health and shiny gold shields and gear that took 17 runs of the same instance to acquire.
Pretty much the only glitch I have ever experienced in game. Lissamay could see it as well, so it wasn't just on my end. Boy, oh boy was it funny.
My first house! What a quaint little hobbit hole it was, filled with trophies and festival rewards because I didn't have any rep housing items or auction hall purchased pieces. Level 35 me would be drooling over my Belfalas house.
This was my original group of LOTRO friends, only missing Lissamay. The five of us always insta-fellowed, no matter what we were working on, to simply chat for hours on end, despite the time differences (two in UK, three in USA).
To wrap it up, here is a terrifying tree found in Agamaur, a terrifying place. I have no idea if I acquired any good loot from this monstrosity but nonetheless it was an accomplishment. And to think I'm now tanking mumaks outside of Minas Tirith...
It's so cool that you still have screenshots from that time! For me we're talking 2007 and some computers ago... I don't think it even occurred to me that there was a screenshot button until I was in the Misty Mountains. At least, that's where the oldest one I could find was from.
